Health Care Checklist App

The challenge

Nurses and staff were completing safety checklists, ward-round forms and equipment checks on paper. Forms were often incomplete or lost, supervisors had no live view of compliance, and preparing for audits took days of manual collation.

Our solution

We designed and built a mobile and web checklist platform made for busy clinical teams:

• Configurable checklists: admins create templates (patient safety, infection control, ward rounds, equipment and pharmacy checks) without any coding.
• Fast mobile app: large tap targets, mandatory fields, photo capture and digital signatures. It works offline and syncs when the connection returns.
• Scheduling and reminders: checklists are assigned by ward, shift and role, with reminders for overdue tasks.
• Escalations: a failed item can raise an alert to the right supervisor straight away.
• Dashboards and reports: live compliance by ward and shift, trend charts and one-click audit reports (PDF/Excel).
• Security: role-based access, audit trail of every change and encrypted data.

Technology: React Native, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, offline sync, push notifications.

Results

• Paper checklists replaced with a single digital system across departments
• Supervisors see completion and issues in real time instead of at the end of the month
